Quick Info Update 1/20/2015
First, I would like to apologize for not paying more attention to this site recently. I don't believe I have done anything for about 6 - 7 months. If you have sent a contact note to me since that time please note that within the next couple weeks I will be wading through these and hope to get some of them answered. I recently got a new job and have been trying to focus my energy on that, but now that I'm at a more solid base I can start back with hosting this site.
When I first setup this site I did not expect such a big response, but apparently Viliv devices are still alive and kicking! On most of these devices you should be able to move to Windows 8 without much issues (Wi-Fi being the main problem) and should allow your device to continue working. Obviously a lot of these drivers are not being maintained by the original companies that made the devices. This means a lot of it has to be installed using work-around procedures with old Win XP or Win 7 drivers. Most of them can be installed using compatibility mode, but I must warn that it may not always work as expected.
A lot of the issues I have received tend to deal with Win XP. I urge everyone to move off of XP and at least run Win 7. Win 7 is really an easy upgrade and everything should work as expected. Even Win XP drivers will install on Win 7 (at least most of them). I am still trying to amass the entire driver directories that Viliv originally provided. So again I would like to ask that anyone who has these drivers please let me know and I will get them hosted for everyone to be able to use.
Anyways, that seems to be about it. Look for some updates coming soon!
Quick Updates (Updated 3/9/2014):
I recently stumbled across a large backup of what appears to be almost every Viliv device. As of now I have not been able to go through them yet, but as the one outstanding device that I have not posted drivers for is the Viliv S10 I have released the .zip of the S10 Windows 7 drivers on OneDrive. Please use the link below to access them. More drivers will be released as I go through the files.
Please note that the new posting has not been virus checked or guaranteed to be the right drivers, use at your own risk!
Unfortunately the BIOS drivers for the S5 still appear to not be in this backup. If anyone has them please let me know.
Quick Updates (Updated 11/4/2013):
To clean up this homepage a little I have moved past updates to the new page titled past updates.
Now on to some hopefully really good news! :)
- Okay, so I have received several requests for s7, s10, etc device drivers, unfortunately I have not been able to locate hardly any of these and most of the ones I find are full of viruses.
But now the good part, I was reviewing the spec sheets for each device and I realized that Viliv built each of these devices to almost the exact same specifications (if there is any difference it is usually with the CPU). This means it might be possible to just substitute drivers from a different device for the one you are searching for. I would try it out myself, but I only own a N5 device. Is there anyone who would be willing to try this? Also, if you do try this please either email, use the contact page, or use the blog to let me know if it was a success.
It would help me out greatly if you could detail exactly which driver you need. Then I can narrow down the possibility of using one of the drivers available for a different device. Just let me know among one of the ways to contact me and I will start researching substitute drivers for you.
Past Updates:
I have received a request for the Viliv S10 Blade drivers - I do not have any of these (I thought I did but I think they were on my hard drive that crashed :( ), if anyone knows where I can get them I would be glad to host them.
I have received a request for Viliv S7 drivers - I have a very limited number of these drivers most of which came from a corrupt download (with viruses too!), as such I will not upload the ones I have. If anyone has good drivers for the S7 please let me know.
S5 F-Log Bios now available!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting. I do apologize for having not updated this site in a long time. However, I have been very busy and unfortunately this site sat on the back burner for awhile. I was actually somewhat busy trying to collect as many drivers as I could (and again if anyone has any sort of drivers for any Viliv device please let me know). So on with the update:
Originally I was not getting very many votes for posting larger files so I decided to think of some other way that this could be done. I have hit upon a solution (honestly I don't know why I didn't think of this before) I will post them to a SkyDrive account. As such I have created an account for this site with Microsoft Outlook with the address being [email protected] I will upload the larger files to the SkyDrive account associated with this email and post a link to it. As of right now I have only been able to get a couple drivers for the Viliv X70 uploaded (uploading takes longer than I had anticipated), but you are welcome to check it out and I will be adding more.
If anybody has any suggestions, comments, questions, drivers, etc you can either fill out the form below or send an email to [email protected]
